Hey, I’m Maddie,
I’m an accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW).
I have an energetic, warm and empathic approach to holding space. I love exploring family dynamics and investigating how relational systems show up in your life.
My work with clients is often through an Acceptance and Commitment therapy lens and I have a holistic approach, taking into consideration how your history, culture, social factors, biological factors, physical health and mental health interact. I’m a trauma-informed therapist acknowledging how trauma may affect your life today, and support you to rebuild a sense of empowerment and control.
I’m passionate about supporting you with finding your spark and finding your way back to yourself.

When not at The Pysch Collaborative, you’ll find me spending time with my puppy, at the gym, cooking home-cooked meals, and travelling to visit friends and family.
Fees:
Initial assessment (90 minutes): $277.5 ($198.45 with a valid Mental Health Care Plan)
Ongoing sessions (50 minutes): $185 ($105.95 with valid Mental Health Care Plan)
Couples Counselling (50 minutes): $300
Walk + Talk Therapy in Newcastle: Fees as above, however an Initial Assessment via telehealth is required first to access eligibility. To book in please book in an Initial Assessment via our bookings tab.
Rebates:
Medicare: You may be eligible for a rebate of $79.05 per session (for up to ten sessions per year) with a valid and eligible Medicare MHCP from your GP. If you’d like to use your MHCP please email this to us at admin@thepsychcollaborative.com.au before your first appointment
Please note: I offer private health insurance rebates, but rebates will be dependent on your level of cover.
Modalities
Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Ecological Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, and Mindfulness and Relaxation (including Diaphragmatic Breathing).
Professional Associations
I am a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), the professional representative body of social workers in Australia. Through this membership, I am required to complete yearly professional development to ensure my skills and knowledge are progressive and relevant.
